What an IT manager wants to know

Where are my orders and documents stored?

On servers in Europe, with a European hosting provider. Your orders and documents are not stored outside that environment. If you want to know exactly which parties we work with and what for, that is set out in the data processing agreement you can request from us.

Is my data used to train AI?

No. The AI models we use are not trained on your data. Your orders are read in order to process them, and not used afterwards. That is set out contractually with the suppliers we work with.

How long do you keep documents?

Documents are deleted automatically after ninety days. The order data itself stays for as long as you are a customer, because you need it to trace which email led to which booked order.

Can you sign a data processing agreement?

Yes. Ask for it at hello@lanedesk.ai and we will send it, with the list of processors included. It states per party what they are used for and where they are.

What happens to our shippers' data?

It goes through the same process as everything else and falls under the same agreements. We are the processor, you remain the controller. We only use that data to put the order into your system.

What if we stop?

Processing stops and we delete your data, apart from what we are legally required to keep. You get a written description of the connections and rules we built for you, so you know how it worked.

Do you have ISO 27001 or SOC 2?

No. We have no certificate and we do not pretend otherwise. What we do have is set out above, and you can ask us about it at any time.
